Well hello there!

It's been an awful long time since I last posted an entry...

The last blog I posted was in February, and its now late October.

Hahaha, oops!

So... an update on everything that's happened over the months.

I've almost finished Broken Vision now...

I'm currently writing Chapter 22.

I've had a lot of feedback, which is remarkable for my first novel, here's the latest stats:

Reads - 3555

Comments - 127

Reads on the 1st Chapter - 615

Fans - 36

I am very very pleased with how this whole experience has turned out. It's been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. I'm not going to go into details but  lets just say I had a very unpleasant experience from publishing online (Booksie.com) and that stopped me from writing for a few months. It was awful. But I'm going to spare you the details. Those who know me probably know what happened and how it effected me.

Anyway, I have started rewriting The Archangel...

I will be posting the NEW covers I made, at the moment I've only made 5, and there are 8 in total.

I have encountered some... difficulties.... in rewriting the series.

I've had to cut out most of the story and rethink 3 of the books entirely.

Its been... hard... saying goodbye to old storylines that have been with me since I was a child... and moving on with the story in an entirely new way. I've moved away from the whole normal life atmosphere the series used to give off, now its dark and slightly steampunk (a new internet phrase I've grown to love) and I think it was needed.

For far too long I've dressed the story up and pretended it was something other than what it really is, I've been avoiding the elephant in the room. Now I'm going to embrace it. Because that elephant is what makes this novel stand out from the rest. I'm not going to kill it. I need to show it off. Because The Archangel is an intriguing story and deserves to be treated like one.

And now it has a truly horrible ending.

A brilliant ending, but very painful for me as a writer.

I've grown attached to Lu but I needed to get the story to end on a bang, not a fizzle.

Well.. here's the new titles and I'll post the covers soon!

1) The Archangel

2) *Untitled for now*

3) Clockwork

4) Redemption

5) Casting Shadows

6) Rapture

7) Revelation

8 ) Prey

I think they are an improvement on the old titles. I'm very pleased with how this story is developing.

On wards and upwards!

Big Happy Smiles :)

I'm in a very good mood today :)

Its late February and its remarkably warm with clear blue skies today. I'm even wearing a loose sleevless t shirt.

I published my ninth chapter of my novel on Booksie today, it's gotten very good feedback which is really brilliant.

I've had so far:1161 reads, 47 comments, and 9 fans.

THAT IS UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING.

I am very very happy with that and my story is really starting to take off, I'm thinking of exciting new elements to add every day and it's exhilerating watching it take off.

I'm also going to get my hair cut in a few minutes, good bye long messy curls, hello short tidy curls :)

I've got to go, I promise I'll try and update a lot more often.

Happy New Year!

Posted by Frankie on January 1, 2012 at 1:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Today is of course the first day of 2012.

It's great to know that there's an entire year ahead, a year of beautiful memories and perfect days, and so far my year has gone off to a good start :)

I am now 14 years old, by only a few weeks, and Christmas has been and gone, and my hasn't this year gone fast!

I'm back to school on Wednesday, which will start the count down to exams and my options, and simultaniously start the count down to summer.

I'm slightly worried about the exams and options but I know I'll get through it, there isn't any room or time for failure.

I hope that this year will be a happy year, filled with smiles and laughter, I know that the past year has been tough at times but I've gotten through it. My good friend Jess bought me a beautiful photo album and I wish to fill it with the wonderful memories of 2011. It was a great year.

Now, following my last blog, I have started writing a novel on Booksie. I'm currently writing Chapter Four as so far I've recieved an awful lot of possitive feedback which gives me confidence to keep going.

Here's the link:

So far, I've had 151 reads, 8 comments, 6 likes, and 3 fans.

I'm incredibly pleased with that outcome, especially as Booksie is a tought place to please, with so many writers logged on. I'm incredibly grateful for even one read let alone one hundred and fifty one!

I wish you all a magical year, filled with good health, love and laughter.

Publishing my work

Posted by Frankie on December 21, 2011 at 11:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Not long ago I discovered a website by the name of Booksie.

The website offers a safe place to share writing with the world.

I've been a member of Booksie for a while, using my Pen Name as I actually hate my real name.

Today I published a preview of the first book of The Archangel.

I'm hoping I'll get a lot of feedback, even though my first publication only got 23 veiws (which is quite a lot, compared to other stories on the website).

To help bump up publicity I'll share the link, sign up and make sure to become a fan :)

Be sure to share the link with everyone who will listen.

Much love,

Frankie.
